Densitron will be showcasing a variety of new products and technologies on its stand G25 at the Embedded Design Show, Coventry, UK, October 19-20. Highlighting the company’s technical expertise and flexible approach to providing end users with a total solution based on their requirements, visitors will have the chance to see some of the very latest display and embedded board technologies that haven’t previously been on show in Europe, and discuss how these can be customised in a variety of ways to fulfil their application needs.

Unique high quality touch TFT’s

Unique to Densitron, and on show for the first time in Europe with touch capabilities, are two new TFT’s from the company’s extensive range. The 2.4” and 2.8” IPS TFT’s utilise very high quality glass and are available with no minimum order requirements. Ideal for a variety of end applications including handheld, audio-video, test & measurement and medical, there will be on-stand demonstrations taking place to enable visitors to see first-hand just what can be achieved with these small, high quality products.

With their wide viewing angles, and offering high brightness and contrast, the TFT’s are available with both MPU and RGB interfaces which make them very easy to drive. Easily customisable with both capacitive and resistive touch options, they are the ideal solution for many of today’s industrial touch screen needs.

Densitron has also expanded its range of IPS TFT’s to accommodate the most popular sizes up to 5”, all of which are driven by an STM32 development kit, and will be showing TFTs ranging from 7” to 12” on the stand

First European showing of Touch OLED’s

Also on show for the first time in Europe are the company’s unique 3.12” Touch OLEDs. Available in blue, white, green and yellow, these industrial grade displays have an extremely high contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and are used in applications requiring a 1U rack, for example in the audio-video sector.  With their letterbox style display which can accommodate a large amount of graphic and text information, many of the products in the range also offer a dramatic improvement on lifetime of up to 100,000 hours. The Touch OLEDS are also available with optical bonding should that be an end user requirement.

As well as showing its Touch OLEDs on the stand, Densitron will have its recently introduced circular OLEDs available for visitors to see.

Next generation E-paper solutions

Another first from Densitron is its latest E-paper range, ideal for low power applications and specially tailored to the industrial market. This brand new, user-friendly family of products offers an internal timing controller, enabling faster time to market and straightforward implementation. These 4.2” and 2.15” displays are more affordable as there is no longer a requirement for an external controller, and also offer users considerable space savings.

Alongside the displays, Densitron has added a 2nd generation extension kit to the family which enables users to interface with their chosen display very quickly and simply with a Texas Instruments LaunchPad compatible socket, making it the ideal tool for cost-effective prototyping, and therefore facilitating a speedy time to market.  In addition, a plug and play developer kit is also on show, where displays and extension kit are combined together with a Texas Instruments EK-TM4C123GXL processor. Densitron also supplies open source driving code and a free powerful windows application for test and demonstration. The developer kit highlights all of the capabilities of the user’s chosen display with its superior performance levels.

Highly versatile TFT monitors

From Densitron’s TFT Monitor product range many different sizes and form factors will be available for visitors to see, across stretched, high brightness and wide format monitors. These new monitors incorporate the very latest IPS and MVA TFT and multi-touch ‘touch’ screen technology and are available with both standard and fully customisable mounting options. Such a large selection means that virtually any end application can be fulfilled. This is only the second time many of these monitors have been on show in Europe and so visitors to the stand can see for themselves just what a choice is now available for the latest industrial applications.

Bruno Recaldini, General Manger Densitron Europe comments, “We are excited to be returning to the Embedded Design Show with such a variety of new products to exhibit. We have some really unique additions to our offering and with such a wide range of different display and embedded board options, many of which are now available with touch technology, we are ideally placed to advise customers on the best overall solution for their end application.”

He continues, “With our ability to customise each and every solution we offer, we are looking forward to some very interesting conversations during the course of the exhibition. I encourage visitors to come and visit us on stand G25 and see for themselves what we can recommend.”
