Monochrome is More than Black and White for Densitron
Densitron introduces Mono TFTs, Ideal for Customised Solutions
(September 11, 2017). Densitron, (Hall 10, Stand D42) a global leader in display, monitor and embedded computing solutions, will be showcasing a selection of high performance monochrome TFT displays which can be customised for any broadcast application.
These displays are ideal for use where colour is superfluous but users are reluctant to compromise on quality. They offer a great contrast ratio of up to 1000:1, high resolution and a wide viewing angle. They can be supplied with touch screens and/or with optical bonding for extra durability.
Densitron is making its first appearance at IBC. Already well-known for its consultative, personalised approach across many other industries, it is now introducing its monitors and its tailored, problem-solving style of working to the broadcast industry. This approach is only possible because of its four decades of business and its strong, ongoing investment in research and development.
Global Product Manager for Monochrome, Michael Yu believes these mono TFTs will prove popular where colour could either be distracting or simply not needed: “Despite the high quality of these displays, because colour is more expensive to drive, they can prove a more affordable alternative. Because they provide excellent standards of resolution they are just right for showing a rich variety of information such as pictograms and mimic diagrams,” he says.
“Broadcasters will also be interested to know that we don’t just supply displays – this is just part of our end-to-end solution from concept to customised interface, backlights, cables, logistics, assembly and whatever else a total solution demands.”
Alongside their superior optical standards, Densitron’s mono TFTs enable faster response times than their passive equivalent. They also perform well when implemented with red/amber/orange/yellow or dual/tri colour LED backlights.
